Post Workout Shake – my favorite recipe

JohnSifferman.com This is my favorite post workout shake recipe. I enjoy this post workout shake several times a week. I usually reserve this for after strength training sessions, but may have it after other exercise sessions or as a stand-alone snack between meals. Post Workout Shake Recipe: 1/2 cup of milk or water as a base 1/4 cup plain, nonfat yogurt 1/4 cup cottage cheese 1/2 serving of vanilla whey protein powder 1 tbsp ground flax meal 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 2 tbsp-1/4 cup rolled oats 2 tbsp peanut butter 1 banana 1 cup of mixed berries 1/2-1 cup of ice cubes Notes: Blend on high for 1 minute. Changing the fruit makes a completely different shake. Try kiwi, pineapple, apple, pear, or cantaloupe for a different post workout shake.
